Case Study 2
Dales Renewables were approached to supply a quotation for the supply and fix of a larger
wood pellet boiler to the Parish Rooms to cater for expansion replacing the ageing pellet boiler
already being used the town council would then be able to recieve RHI payments. We were
also asked to quote for the supply and fix of a 4.0 kW Solar PV installation on the SE facing
roof. Feed-in-Tariff payments for this installation are 14.90p/kWh generated and 4.64p/kWh
exported (presumed at 50%), this is represented in the calculations as 17.22p/kWh. All black
solar panels were used as they sit better with the building and it’s surroundings than the silver
trimmed blue panels.
We recommended a ETA PelletsCompact 32kW boiler and a larger 800 Litre Buffer tank to
reduce short cycling of the boiler.
